Video feels like my dream

I haven't looked at my old family movies for about 8 years. All of a sudden I'm looking over them and picking out parts I want to use-and parts that I don't need. Since I am the oldest of 6 most of the time the camera is on my 2 youngest siblings- so most of the time I'm not in it.I have to watch lots to find where I am and if I want to use it. Now I started having dreams about the old movies. Mostly having parties in our old house. Some of the shots are really funny -and things I never think about anymore.I'm excited to see how the whole thing works out.

Last week was a great class-Having a visiting artist really made me think about different materials. All week I've been thinking of different media to use. And then after class to go to the talk that Silvia gave. Wow -what a thought provoking night. I thought I would go home and fall right asleep from all the "music primordial". Instead
I was up all night and ended up drawing and sketching till about 2 a.m.I was so stimulated and relaxed. Now if only I felt that way every day.

experimenting with art

In class last week it was great to just work on our projects. And to see what everyone else is thinking about their art work. I love creating art with other people it makes me really motivated. The room was quiet but every one was in their own creative space. I went home with lots of new ideas. Every day I am thinking of a new idea. I'm not sure about my 3D project.I'm worried that it is too crafty.

Intermedia Self -portrait

I'm Maureen Green this blog is for Intermedia class at J.F.K.
I have been working on ideas for my self portraits. The idea I had for the 2D portrait is not going to work the way I thought it was going to-but I will use it for part of the painting. I wanted to do something with layers and sheer fabric.Something I had never tried before-instead it will be part of the image.
Also working on getting my family video on to digital.My brother-in law is going to do it for me-he is a video editor.
This class is inspiring to me and a challenge- I can't wait to see what I do.
Over the break I went to Joshua Tree and climbed around on the
rocks.
